Le Friquet Hotel successfully retains its Three Star Hotel classification following this year’s overnight inspection with an improved AA Merit score of 81%.
All in all, a caring and friendly team. Service delivery exceeded expectations in some aspects and the team deserves to be praised for their consistent approach. Housekeeping, considered to be of the utmost importance within the assessment process, was diligent across the operation – compliments to all concerned. Output of the kitchen was very good on all occasions; dishes sampled during the course of the stay were freshly prepared and presented. Physically, bedrooms and bathrooms remain tidy, well maintained, well-coordinated and of a sound quality. The new rooms are of a superior quality with their contemporary style and appealing design.
Public areas are well maintained and offer a range of options. Finally, the garden and grounds were very well maintained and created a very positive first impression on arrival.
Cleanliness Housekeeping was another positive aspect and demonstrated high levels of cleanliness/housekeeping throughout all areas. The bedrooms were well prepared for the guests’ arrival, well vacuumed and dust free. The bathrooms sparkled and showed close attention to detail.
Food Menus have been designed to meet the needs of a varied clientele. Local produce and quality at the forefront. Very good range of sandwiches and light bites offered throughout the day.
Restaurant Modern in style and well configured for all dining occasions. Tables are well spaced and dressed with quality tableware. Good ambience at dinner and plenty of natural light at breakfast. Independent entrance helps with passing trade.
